About Us

Old Buckenham Country Park is the culmination of a dream. It is located in 32-acres of beautiful countryside in the heart of Norfolk. The site sits in tranquil parkland with beautiful views no matter which way you turn. At its heart are two natural lakes and home to a wide variety of wildlife.

Whether you are looking for a central location to explore Norfolk for the first time or you are a regular visitor looking for a relaxing weekend, Old Buckenham Country Park is the perfect place.

The Park

The site has been landscaped to create a balance between the experience of our guests and the needs of the wildlife that makes its home here.

We take great pride in what we are attempting to achieve at Old Buckenham Country Park and are continually working towards improving natural habitats. Surrounding our lakes are hundreds of mature trees, hedgerows and flower-rich grassland, with many footpaths giving you plenty of opportunity to explore the beauty of the park.

Values

A number of our pitches feature an electrical hook-up that is included in the price. Each pitch offers lots of space for both parking and an awning. The cost of a pre-booked pitch starts at £20 for wild camping, but please look out for offers on our social media pages. We also welcome well-behaved family dogs as long as they are kept on a lead.

From our lovely decked area, you will be able to watch dragonflies gliding across the lake, occasional kingfishers hunting for fish and butterflies taking advantage of the flowers. You may even be lucky enough to see the deer which visit the park in the evening and early morning.

Fresh water and chemical toilet points are close by in a newly built covered area.

We were looking for a cosy, dog friendly and relaxing get away and found it, the grounds and surrounding area are beautiful and plenty of exploring do be done if you want.  Had a friendly welcome from Ben and Leanne and enjoyed a evening drink at the cafe and even wood fired pizza from a food truck they had on one of the evenings. Already planning our next escape here.

The campsite was clean, as were the facilities. Staff were very friendly and the food we had whilst we were there was lovely! Draft beers available and lovely to chill out by the lake and to be able to do a spot of fishing! Highly recommended (in fact I already have to more than one person within 2 days of leaving!)

Our stay at OB park was lovely, very relaxing. The new toilet and shower blocks are great and kept clean. The cafe bar does amazing Rocky Road and panini, plus the street food vans on the weekend mean a great variety of eating is available. There was live music on the bank holiday Saturday which we thoroughly enjoyed. This was our 3rd stay at OB park and we will be coming again next year.
